Kerala regionally used as Keralam is a state located in the south-west region of India on the Malabar coast. It was formed on 1 November 1956 per the States Reorganisation Act by combining various Malayalam-speaking regions. Spread over 38,863 km2 (15,005 sq mi) with a population of 33,387,677, it is bordered by Karnataka to the north and north east, Tamil Nadu to the east and south, and the Laccadive Sea to the west. Thiruvananthapuram is the state capital among the 14 districts; other major cities include Kochi, Kozhikode, Kollam and Thrissur.

North India

North India, known natively as Uttar Bhārat/Aryavarta or Shumālī Hindustān is a loosely defined region consisting of the northern part of India. In a broader sense, North India includes northern and most of eastern India and the Indus Valley of Pakistan. The dominant geographical features of North India are the Indo-Gangetic Plain and the Himalayas, which demarcate the region from Tibet and Central Asia. North India has been the historical center of the Maurya, Gupta, Mughal, Sur, Maratha, Sikh and British Indian Empires.

South India

South India is the area encompassing India's states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala & Tamil Nadu as well as the union territories of Lakshadweep & Puducherry, occupying 19.31% of India's area. The region is also known as Dravida as is used in the National anthem. South India lies in the peninsular Deccan Plateau & is bounded by the Arabian Sea in the west, the Indian Ocean in the south and the Bay of Bengal in the east. The geography of the region is diverse, encompassing two mountain ranges, the Western a&nd Eastern Ghats, & a plateau heartland.
